1. Application
This Supplement applies where PARAMOUNT ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS (PTY) LTD processes personal information subject to POPIA. It supplements the Master Privacy Notice and other Veri-AQ policies.
2. POPIA processing principles
- Accountability.
- Processing limitation and lawful justification.
- Purpose specification and compatible further processing.
- Information quality and openness.
- Security safeguards.
- Data-subject participation.
3. Children
Veri-AQ treats information relating to persons under 18 as children’s personal information for POPIA purposes. Home School and Junior direct processing may rely on prior consent of a competent person where that is the documented section 35 basis. Consent is granular, versioned and revocable. A material policy or guardian change may require reconfirmation.
4. Direct marketing
Electronic direct marketing is managed separately from service communications. Optional marketing consent is not bundled with service acceptance. Objections and opt-outs must be recorded and honoured.
5. Automated decision-making
Veri-AQ does not design AI/similarity/approximate-mark outputs to be the sole basis of a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects. Human review and representation routes must be available where section 71 is engaged.
6. Cross-border transfers
Personal information may be transferred outside South Africa only after the applicable POPIA section 72 basis and safeguards are documented. Where sections 57–58 require prior authorisation for child or special personal information transfers, the relevant processing must remain blocked until the statutory requirements permit it.
7. Information Officer
The registered Information Officer is Nicole Veldsman. Privacy and PAIA requests may be sent to privacy@veri-aq.com.
Legal review and mandatory-law notice. This policy framework is designed for Veri-AQ operations and must be reviewed by appropriately qualified counsel before a new entity, jurisdiction, school contract, under-13 U.S. workflow or materially new processing purpose is launched. Nothing in this document excludes rights or duties that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.
